3D Printing Singapore

Specialised 3D printing services Singapore companies rely on for fast turnaround, precise designs, and expertise across a broad range of different industries.

3D Printing Service Singapore

Monster Builder prints high-quality, precise 3D designs using latest 3D printing technology to deliver rapid design turnaround and precise manufacturing for small batch production and mass manufacturing.

Our 3D printing services include Selective Laser Sintering (SLS), Stereolithography (SLA), Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS), Multi Jet Fusion (MJF), and Selective Laser Melting (SLM).

Monster Builder partners with individuals and companies in Singapore across a broad range of industries to deliver 3D printing that meet specific requirements. Our technology and client-first approach allows us to meet the unique requirements of each job. Whether that’s 3D printing or precision CNC machining, our goal is to ensure a precise result and fast turnaround.

Depending on your design and the exact quantity that you require, we can have your 3D printing completed in a matter of days. For larger projects where you require a significant number of units or the design takes further research before completing, it may take longer to complete.

Types of 3D Printing

Monster Builder provide a range of 3D printing services in Singapore for businesses that require 3D printing for a range of different applications. Alongside our CNC machining, metal fabrication, and design services, some of the different 3D printing services in Singapore that we offer include:

Selective Laser Sintering (SLS)

Selective laser sintering or SLS uses high-powered lasers to sinter small particles or polymer powder into a solid construction that closely follows the 3D design that has been created. Selective laser sintering is one of the most cost-effective types of 3D printing and can save major time and costs for small run parts that would traditionally need to be assembled through normal manufacturing processes. Due to faster turnaround than conventional manufacturing processes, SLS 3D printing is a great option for custom and low-volume end-use parts.

Stereolithography (SLA)

Stereolithography or SLA 3D printing uses light to cure liquid resin into three-dimensional objects by exposing a tank or resin or a vat to the light source which then causes it to harden into a solid state. Stereolithography 3D printing is perfect for prototyping parts at a far lower cost than traditional manufacturing would require. Stereolithography allows us to produce accurate prototypes in different shapes. Using these shapes, you can quickly and accurately assess the design and feasibility of the final product before committing to manufacturing.

Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS)

Direct Metal Laser Sintering or DMLS 3D printing utilises powder bed fusion 3D printing technology to quickly manufacture metal parts. Direct Metal Laser Sintering 3D printing has been around for more than two decades and works by selectively sintering metal or metal alloy powder into different shapes using high-powered lasers (either C02 or fibre laser depending on the application) for sheet metal fabrication.

Multi Jet Fusion (MJF)

Multi Jet Fusion 3D printing or MJF printing effectively bonds the agent and the powder together to produce functional nylon prototypes that can be completed in a matter of only a few days. MJF 3D printing offer significant benefits in terms of speed and precision which makes it a perfect choice for creating prototypes quickly that can be used to test the quality and fitment of end use production-quality parts.

Selective Laser Melting (SLM)

Selective Laser Melting or SLM 3D printing uses a squeegee to spread a layer of metal powder onto a build platform which can be lowered. When the layer of metal has been spread onto the build platform, a laser is then used to scan the cross-section of the part before melting the powder in the required areas and in the correct shape. SLM 3D printing allows us to produce dense parts with complex shapes with an extremely high degree of accuracy.

Our 3D Printing Services

3D Design

Monster Builder’s 3D design services takes simple designs and turn them to life with our expert product 3D printing services. 3D design helps to improve visualisation, improve accuracy, and significantly reduce prototyping times to reduce the cost of errors in the production process. Moving from a 2D drawing to a 3D design allows you to get a clear picture of the future object in a fraction of the time that would be required for traditional manufacturing and production.

3D Prototyping

3D Prototyping is a fast, cost-effective way to reduce production lead times and provide an increased level of flexibility during the design and production process. 3D prototyping allows you to quickly assess any design issues, determine feasibility, and make design tweaks based on immediate feedback. Lower production costs mean improved testing and result verification before committing to mass production.

Small Batch 3D Printing

Low volume or small batch 3D printing is a cost-effective way to produce smaller components without the need for a large upfront cost investment. Compared to traditional manufacturing processes, small batch 3D printing is an effective way to meet urgent demands without the need for complex tool setups and extensive preparation.

Mass Manufacturing 3D Printing

Mass Manufacturing 3D Printing is now becoming a viable option for printing as 3D printing continues to become more economical and cost-effective. Mass manufacturing 3D printing allows for fast production of small components and can be an ideal way to stop-fill large orders or allow for greater flexibility and reactivity in the production process to accommodate large orders.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does 3D printing take?

We can turnaround 3D printing in Singapore in just 8 working days. Depending on the intricacy of your design and quantities that you are looking to produce, this may be slightly longer or slightly shorter.

Is there a minimum order size?

No – there is no minimum order quantity for 3D printing. Just like anything, 3D printing works on economy of scales. The more you print, the more economical things become.

What are some examples of things that you can print?

We provide 3D printing services for business across a range of industries from medical to automotive, engineering, manufacturing and just about any other industry that you can imagine. 3D printing has a diverse use case and application which means there are a lot of different businesses that can benefit from fast turnaround on design and prototyping thanks to 3D printing services in Singapore.

Some of the products that we produce include prosthetics, intricate machinery parts, dental products, industrial products, prototypes, consumer products – and a lot more. 3D printing allows for a diverse application across a whole range of different industries. If you’re looking to build, design, or prototype – then get in touch with our team to find out how our Singapore 3D printing service can help.

3D Printing vs. CNC – which is best?

3D printing and CNC machining both have their place in the design and prototyping space – we should know, we do both! When it comes to choosing between CNC vs. 3D printing – it comes down to your intended use. 3D printing offers a fast turn around and is (in most cases) a less expensive option. CNC for plastic parts on the other hand can provide a higher level of finish including smoother surfaces. To find out which is right for your project, have a chat to our in-house engineers about what you’re looking to do and which route is going to be best for you.
